The joggers you need for autumn ’22.
THE JOGGERS YOU NEED FOR AUTUMN ’22
Most of us have office time built in to our usual routines by now. But, dress codes have changed, and we bet your personal style has changed, too. Maybe you’re considering comfort more than before, which might leave you looking for the right trousers that balance that comfort with an office-appropriate look.
Enter joggers. With a relaxed fit and tailoring codes built in, you’ll feel like you’re wearing sweats, but look like you’re wearing trousers. It’s a win-win. Below, meet the season’s best joggers, and find out where to wear them and what to wear them with.
Berry-hued flannel joggers
If you tend to gravitate towards darker colours or more neutral tones come autumn/winter, it’s time to add a bit of bright into your wardrobe. A great way to do that without taking too much of a risk is opting for berry-hued shades. They’re still muted, but will add an unexpected element to your basics.
These worker joggers are a great example. When joggers tend to come in darker or neutral colours, this berry colour plays off the relaxed-meets-tailored silhouette. If you’re not a big colour person, pair them with a camel zip-neck polo. Or, if you’re game for an all-over coloured look, go with a punchier petrol blue.
Cord joggers in a neutral taupe
Corduroy is set to be a massive trend again this autumn, and one of the best ways to wear it is via trousers. But, while everyone else is wearing a jean-inspired silhouette, do something different with our cord joggers.
With these joggers, the texture of the cord and its taupe colour make them a statement piece. So, when you’re choosing what to wear with them, think about what’s going to let them do the talking. A winter-white rollneck is a great option, finished off with white trainers or a leather boot.
Navy flannel joggers
Here’s something super easy to wear that you’ll reach for constantly: navy joggers. They’ll go with just about anything that’s already in your autumn wardrobe, while still offering an element of style thanks to their pleated front and drawstring waist.
If you’re going for these ones, don’t be afraid to add some colour or a print to your top half. A checked overshirt is a great way to do just that. A casual printed shirt with a bit of navy running through it layered under a neutral cardigan is also a great option when the temperatures drop.
Flannel joggers in a neutral camel
An unexpected alternative to your typical grey or beige trouser, camel is a neutral too that’s just as wearable. Try these flannel ones with a wine zip-neck jumper for an autumnal colour palette that’ll stand out, but won’t overdo it.
If you work in a more relaxed environment, camel joggers will help you show off your personal style. Otherwise, they’re great for a smart-casual dress code at the weekend, or really anything you’ve got going on.
As always, styling your joggers is down to your personal taste, and whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. Comfort is, as we’ve said, the whole point of these trousers.
