WANT THE PEAKY LOOK? YOU NEED A TWEED SUIT

Words: T. MacInnis

After almost two decades in the suit business, Moss is a leader in British tailoring. That’s why we’re the official outfitters for Peaky Blinders: The Rise, a new immersive experience based on the hit show. If you’re planning to attend the experience, you’re encouraged to dress the part. We can help with that.

Not only is tweed a classic suiting fabric, but it’s also the perfect way to capture that Peaky look thanks to its popularity in the ’20s. Even better, it’s been having a resurgence over the past few years, which means if you’ve got a great tweed suit for the show, you’ll want to keep wearing it, again and again. Read on to see four of our latest and greatest tweed suits.

Fig Donegal tweed

The fig tone of this Donegal-style tweed suit is one of our favourite colours for AW22. It’s punchy, but still wearable and versatile. Wear this one with its matching waistcoat and tan brogues when you’re headed to the show, and then swap in a padded gilet and white trainers for chillier days at the office.

Olive herringbone tweed

The cut of this tweed suit is a bit roomier, so you get an even more Peaky-appropriate look. The olive tone also calls on the ’20s, as does the herringbone finish. Again, wear this one with the matching waistcoat, and then rewear it for any autumn or winter weddings you have in your diary this year, and next year, too.

Checked tweed

Want something that really makes a statement? Our black, white, tobacco and blue checked suit fits the bill. You’ll stand out, but still look decade-appropriate. Yet again, the waistcoat is a must for Peaky Blinders: The Rise, but separate it out and wear the jacket with jeans for a more casual workday.

Sage tweed

This is one of our best-selling suits, and it’s not hard to see why. The sage green tone is different, but still wearable, and the cut is form-fitting but super comfortable. For Peaky, you’ll get a look Arthur Shelby would absolutely wear, and for the rest of the season, you’ll have a versatile suit that you can wear to the office, to a wedding, and anywhere in between.

Now you’ve got your Peaky tweed suit sorted, get your tickets for Peaky Blinders: The Rise right here. Then, keep on wearing that tweed suit for seasons to come.
